HUNGER & POVERTY ALLEVIATION

MV4NY is dedicated to reducing food insecurity and hunger across NYC. We help struggling and at risk families through a variety of different initiatives including food drives and donations, clothing and product drives, and volunteering events. 

MV4NY partners with the New York Common Pantry (NYCP) as a Sponsoring Organization, with the West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH) and Citymeals on Wheels. We conduct annual food drives for these organizations, provide family friendly opportunities to pack produce at NYCP, and deliver hot meals to home-bound seniors through Citymeals on Wheels. 

We also conduct card-making drives for Citymeals on Wheels. We provide halal meals to Citymeals on Wheels to be delivered to home-bound seniors on special occasions. We partner with HousingPlus, Pajama Program and Room to Grow to organize hygiene product, pajama and book drives to provide clothing and basic amenities for struggling families.
